Good Morning,
As week eight approached I got more familiar with the blog and using an integrating it into the classroom. I learnt about spreadsheet and got a refresher on word processor since word process was a tool I always used. This week I began the completion of my portfolio and prepare for the close of my EDET course.
Throughout my time spent in EDET I can honestly say i have grown in technology. The concepts we learnt will help me greatly in executing my lessons. What I enjoyed most about EDET was the lesson on podcast.
My time spent in this course was an enjoyable one. I thank my tutor Mrs T M Roberts, enjoyed every single lesson with you and your a great tutor.

Reflection- Week 7
Tiffo here again,
The week was again another interesting one, I am sure your saying you hear this so often. Edet is really a fun and interesting course although it is sometimes challenging but I must say I am able to tamper and complete tasks. It is doing what I like so the work is almost effortless (ALMOST) :)
This week in my classes I learnt about the ASSURE MODEL this is a unique way to create a lesson plan for your class, it covers all the areas students are suppose to be exposed to and also give a more indepth plan of the lesson. This again was something new for me, I do have prior experience in writing lesson plans however the ASSURE MODEL is quite different. I experimented with it and I created a lesson on my own first then together with my group members, our lesson was about transportation. It is important for teacher to plan prior to a lesson because it allows for smooth functioning and flowing of the lesson, it also allows the teacher to realize errors before she approaches the class. In my opinion planning a lesson makes a lesson very effective.
The week continued and we were challenged even more as the task was to create a movie in WINDOWS LIVE MOVIE MAKER. I surely had fun experimenting movie maker as this again was something new for me. My group collect our pictures and then together we created our little movie on transportation and yours truly was the appointed voice on this movie. So hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm let me go back we created a movie using movie maker but added audio created in audacity (yhhhhh i kno totally cool). The movie maker is definitely one of the software I will b utilizing often in my classroom.
Again Edet is a very interesting course and I am enjoying every minute of it.

The podcast we were using was Audacity. We were even exposed to an easier way to download this software on the pc, however I had already downloaded it using the original tutors method which was sent via email the day before. The lesson was quite interested and really clarified many questions about podcast. At the end of the lesson we were then challenged to create a podcast as a group, my group did a nice little thank you to the lecturer. I can see many ways which I could use a podcast in my class and one of the ways I would use it is as a reinforcement after a lesson has been taught.
Looking forward to adding my beautiful voice to many more podcast creations.

Reflection Week 5
Good Day Bloggers,
EDET is really becoming more and more interesting. This week we were challenged to more multitasking and screen navigations and instructions via emails. This week I acquired some new knowledge, I learnt how to print screen. I always observed it on the lecturers posts etc. but I was unaware of how it was done. So yayyyy to learning something new.
I find this experience of blogging to be a very pleasant yet challenging task.. I enjoy blogging and just sharing with my fellow bloggers but it is slightly challenging because of the need to ensure my blog is updated and my readers are always entertained. However, because of the blogging I am able to be more frequent on the computer and explore more options of doing one particular task.
We then added blog authors as contributors to our blog, my three group member are Rochelle, Jermira, Daniqueca. The then were give the opportunity to go to my page and critique my blog.
I am learning and embracing technology and absolutely enjoy blogging.
Excited about week 6 as I enhance and embrace new technology skills.

your blog on how to utilize blog in your classroom was very informative and interesting, i really think your students will enjoy your blog. Your parents can also use this blog to communicate urgently to you. It can also be used to give out assignments if you are sick or absent for whatever reason.

Week 4 Reflections
Hello Followers,
**singing** with go in the vessel we can smile at the storm, smile at the storm, smile at the storm....
So this week in classes we were challenged to complete activities using information that was sent to us via email. It was a bit challenging at first but then you were able to use the skill of multitasking, and complete given assignments. We then learnt about 'CLOUDS' (yeaaaaahhhhh to that) these are online applications that you use to store and share your information. i downloaded dropbox. We completed an activity in google spreadsheet and then shared it with my colleagues i find this method of using clouds very effective and is definitely something i would use.

Reflection week 3
**singing* oh i can see, i can see what EDET has done to me (x2)
Aloha... followers,
This week of class was super cool and EXCITING (as usual), I am so getting the hang of this.
Oh wait..... lets pause... I am a DIGITAL NATIVE. The task in our class on Monday was to complete a few simple instructions given to us then identify oneself as a digital native or a digital immigrant. I am using technology 24/7 hmm unless I am sleeping that is.
I was led to reading a very interesting article where a professor was not so 21st century ready and didn't even own a smart phone it was quite interesting I must say.
Wednesday's class was a little bit more challenging as we were given instructions to follow only by reading and using our own interpretation to complete each task we were placed into groups to do so collaboratively and this definitely was a plus since there was some minor difficulties. At the end of the lesson we presented on what we researched which was input and output, hardware and software. We also discussed the pro's and con's of teacher made aids vs computer made aids.
All in all this class is getting more and more interesting as we are learning more about technology and the use in the classroom.
We are all getting on board so we don't get left behind in the 21st century.

Reflection Week 2
Greeting,
After week 1, I was excited to get back to classes after I spent some time reading.
Week 2 classes were exciting, I learnt more about The Theories Of Learning and got a more indepth idea what learning in itself is.
I complete an online questionnaire which outlined my learning styles. I will include the link at the end of the post if you wish to go and complete. :) Below is a image of my results from the questionnaire.
I met into a challenge this week when I was given an assignment to produce a powerpoint presentation, then realizing that my system didn't have a power point software installed.
This allowed me to become closer with my classmates and ask for assistance which they gave and did so willingly (hugz).
All in all I learnt new 'SKILLS' that i will surely be using from now on such as: using a projector and using powerpoint more in depth. I am now totally in love with powerpoint sooooo cool.
Technology is really growing and i am on the road to learning more about it and using it in my everyday life/classroom thanks to EDET.. :)
Excited about week 3...... STAY TUNED.. :)

Hello all,
After the first week of EDET classes, I had to stop and think for while. What really am I really expecting from this course? After being cause in the spot that my expectations were far from the objectives of the course, I went back did some reading and then i set my new realistic expectations for my EDET 101 course. I must say week one was hectic and a bit new for me, since i was the one receiving instructions instead of giving and having to meet deadlines, then again it was an experience i would never forget i learnt that it is always good to read information given and not always assume this is what it is.
I look forward to all that i will learn in this class and I am enthusiastic about doing so. Praises to God for health and strength week one is completed.. :)
